First generation RT/10 (1992-1995)
The first generation Dodge Viper was the RT/10. This was on sale to the public from 1992 through 1995. The V10 engine developed 400 bhp and could accelerate the vehicle from 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
Second generation SR (1996-2002)
The coupe Dodge Viper was introduced in 1996 as the GTS. This was on sale to the public from 1996 through 2002. The V10 engine was tweaked to produce 450 bhp, and this could accelerate the Dodge Viper GTS from 0-60 mph in 4.0 seconds.
Third generation ZB (2003-2006)
A major redesign in 2003 saw the replacement of the RT/10 and GTS with the Dodge Viper SRT-10. This was on sale to the public from 2003 through 2006. The V10 engine was now developing 500 bhp and acceleration from 0-60 mph was further shaved to 3.9 seconds.
Fourth generation ZB (2008-present)
In 2008, the engine grew in capacity and was developing a whopping 600 bhp. The lastest model of the Dodge Viper can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
