I received my 1/18 scale Dodge Viper GT2 diecast model from my parents as a Christmas gift. It is one of my favorite sports car models and is a great addition to the collection I have been accumulating for the last 40+ years.

Both doors, the hood and the rear window open.
|
The rear wheels are fitted to a suspension with some vertical movement.
The steering wheel is connected to the front wheels so that both move in unison when turned.
|
The model is very detailed and well finished on the exterior. |
The Dodge Viper GT2 diecast model is supplied in a black / gold cardboard box fitted with clear plastic windows on the front, top and rear. The model is well supported inside the box , as it is mounted on a black plastic display stand fitted with a gold label identifying the car.
The approximate overall dimensions (in the closed up state) are: Length - 10" / Width - 4.5" / Height - 2.5".
The interior is black with highly detailed gauges on the dashbord that are fully decaled in colour.
The car is brilliant white with two dark blue GT stripes the full length of the car. A red Dodge insignia is fitted in between the GT stripes on the front and rear of the car.
The only problem I have had with this car is the hood does not stay open when it is lifted. To overcome this, I have used a short length of match stick in a strategic position (so that it can't be seen). The reason I have done this is to display the highly detailed engine, with the red inlet manifolds that lurks underneath.
